Virtual Session: Leading Virtually – April 2
April 2 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm$175
Working on teams with people dispersed across locations is the norm in today’s environment. While this allows the organization to leverage the best resources and to expand its reach geographically, it poses some challenges for those who are expected to be productive and operate efficiently within it. The leader of these teams takes on a lot of responsibility to ensure that people are getting what they need and that their work is getting done.
To lead in this type of environment, the foundational leadership skills of building trust, asking strategic questions, listening actively, and communicating benefits are all still important. But how these skills are actually implemented is slightly different. It’s important that leaders have an awareness of the implications of working virtually and begin to implement some best practices for ensuring that their team members remain as engaged as possible.
By the end of this leading virtual teams training, you’ll be able to:
- Identify ways that engagement can differ in a virtual environment
- Explore how to form strong relationships through trust and communication, with a focus on transparency
- Foster connections by creating a sense of community and leveraging technology
- Strategies for leading virtual meetings and then work together to identify virtual team best practices
Class start time: 1:00pm EDT
