June 14, 2017 /PRNewswire/ — Global performance improvement/employee engagement solutions provider GP Strategies Corporation is pleased to announce the release of new employee engagement research, 2017 Employee Engagement Report: Let’s Talk About Great Days At Work, which will help organizations create a culture of engagement in the workforce.
The report, published by BlessingWhite, a division of GP Strategies, explores what actions and behaviors differentiate highly engaged organizations from the rest. The BlessingWhite model of employee engagement speaks to an organizational environment that allows employees to achieve maximum satisfaction while significantly contributing to their team and organization.
According to the research, employee engagement levels can range from 49% to 77% of the employee population. The research survey explored what those organizations at the top end of the range do particularly well or differently that separates them from the rest. Key findings in the report include the following:
- A 35-point difference exists between highly engaged organizations (75%) and those with lower levels of engagement (40%) on the key performance question related to senior leaders and whether they have created an environment of high performance.
- For performance, organizations with the highest levels of engagement have substantially higher levels of work alignment (92%), regular feedback (80%) and job-related training (76%) when compared to average results.
- Organizations with the highest levels of engagement (90%) not only created high-performing work environments, but also linked the work to a larger purpose.
- A 20-point difference exists between highly engaged organizations (88%) and those with lower levels of engagement (68%) on job satisfaction of employees.
This report incorporates analysis of over 1.2 million individuals from more than 425 companies. Organizational commitment and implementing actions to address the survey results are paramount to creating a truly engaged workforce.
